Starting tomorrow, Friday, July 25th, the Korean Government will offer 6000 won coupons for going to the cinema. These coupons will be offered through the major cinema companies (CGV, Lotte Cinema, Megabox and CineQ. There are 4.5 million coupons so it is better to hurry as will not last long.
This government action is a plan to help and stimulate the Korean theatres as they are suffering because of streaming services. Nowadays fewer people go to the cinema than before, and this could relieve the situation for them. These coupons could be used until September 2nd, so you have time to choose what to watch.
