Seoul Subway Start Time Moves to 5 AM: Benefits for Commuters

Today has been announced that since August, Seoul subway will start operating at 5 am, which will be helpful for many commuters.

This improvement will be convenient for many people who have to take the bus to arrive early for their jobs. Taking the subway is always the fastest way to travel inside a big city like Seoul, especially when the rainy season arrives or in winter at – 20 degrees.

Personally, I like the Seoul subway system a lot as it is fast, convenient and cheap; however, during rush hour, it could be a nightmare due to overcrowded stations. It’s inconvenient, but before living in Seoul, I expected it would be worse, there are a lot of people, but the trains and stations are very big, so I can stand it. It’s not that different to any European city. Anyway, I prefer to avoid rush hour if possible, so I don’t care to wake up a bit earlier to avoid the crowd, so this schedule change will be convenient.
