Solving visa inquires…¿In a convenience store???

Imagine the situation, you are in Korea, and you have any kind of inquiry related to your visa status. Obviously, the first option would be searching on the internet, maybe reddit or google, and if the issue can not be solved, maybe try to contact the immigration service. I am sure that you would never think about going to the convenience store to ask for help.

Well, this is about to change, as recently it was announced that convenience store brand CU in partnerships with K-Visa launched a program to make this real.

In selected stores (50 in early stage but it is planned to expand to over 1000 stores until end of the year), will be a QR code to scan with your phone and, after filling a short form, you will be able to ask your questions to an inmigration specialist.

Service will not be free, but will be quite affordable, 20.000 ₩ (around 14 USD), and for now will be available in English, Japanese, Vietnamese and chinese.

I am sure that this will be useful for many people, and it is good to know the existence of this possibility.
