Today, it came to my attention a case of bullying in which the victims spoke back to their bullies during the graduation. This case happened in a private university called Universitat de Vic, which is located about 100 kilometres from Barcelona. For putting it in context, to enrol on a university in Spain, all students need to do an exam, and if you wanna join a public university, you need to get very good grades, depending on whether you wanna study. Therefore, if you cannot enrol on a public university because of your grades, you can go to private university, however you (or your parents) have to pay the price. However, this depends on every specific case, depending on the degree and even the demand for that year, the grades can change a lot.

Anyway, the report explains that this student suffered bullying during all her stage on the university, online and offline, and there even were reports to the police and visits to the hospital. However, the university is the only thing that they did is changing the bullies to another group to not match with the victim’s schedule.
I cannot understand the university’s attitude; it is not that important whether the bullying happened inside the university or not. In my opinion, the student or students involved should be kicked out of the university immediately, this cannot be tolerated. Obviously, the bully should be proven, but in this case seems that the police and hospitals were aware of that, so for me it is clear. At the end the bullies received their diplomas anyway, the only punishment is to feel a bit uncomfortable during graduation. For me seems that the university was more interested in the money of the students than anything else.

It’s disappointing how police reacted.
Bullies are should be punished strongly.
Because it ruins the victim’s life. 😕😤
