Samsung enables sleep apnea detection on their smartwatches

Yesterday, Samsung enabled sleep apnea detection on their smartwatches with Android wear, in this case, Galaxy Watch 4 and later. This was already enable in some reasons but now is enable in EU countries too.

In my case, I have one of the compatible watches bought in Spain, but it seems that I cannot use it yet, so probably will release an update soon or will enable it remotely. In theory, it should appear inside the Samsung health monitor application that is only compatible with Samsung phones, so I can’t wait to test it by myself; even though I feel that I am healthy, it is always good to check this kind of things and prevent future diseases.

  1. Wowow! Good news!
Sleep apnea is potentially dangerous disease. Lower the blood oxygen level and if it extends, could die during sleep.
    It’s nice technology 😁
