Recently, in the Netherlands, a report about the worldwide candy brand Haribo. Apparently, they found an amount of cannabis in a small batch of candies called Happy Cola.

Even though this was a small batch and had already been recalled, it makes me wonder how it was possible that this had happened and what could be the effect if a child ate one of the contaminated candies.
The reports explain that they detected the leak because there were children with symptoms like dizziness, and Dutch police contacted the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA).
Anyway, you don’t need to panic as the batch affected is very small. If you ate this candy and have any symptoms could be a good idea to talk with your doctor.

Cannabis is legal in Netherland.
So no surprise 🤣
But Haribo’s customers are mostly children. They should inhance the product safety protocols..
