Today, new details have been released related to the SKT massive data leak has been released. According to the investigators, not only has the USIM number been leaked, but also personal information, phone’s imei numbers, names, dates of birth, phone numbers and email addresses has been stolen by the attackers.

According to the report released today, the investigators, the found evidence of malware in 23 of the total 3000 servers that SKT has. Apparently, about 290.000 imei records were stored in one of the affected servers, so for the moment it is not clear if more records were affected.
The investigators also revelead that they found malware records since June 15th 2022, so this is very concerning for SKT as they were not able to detect the problem for a long time. Anyway, it still unclear if any data has been leaked, since that day to December 2th,2024.
In any case, SKT users (or fomers SKT) should be extremely cautious with possible phishing attempts, including sms and email, as both might have been leaked. Also, it is advisable to contact your bank to block the possibility of getting a loan online and reduce the amount limit for your online backing. If possible never click any link received by email or sms and go to the bank/service and log in there directly.
Stay safe.
