Today, Friday, February 16th, heavy rain alerts have been issued in Seoul due to heavy rainfall. Rain intensity reached 74 mm per hour, and today rained 118 mm in total, which is more than expected.
Due to this, the residents living in Namyangju have received have received an emergency text alert on their phones.

If it is your first time in Korea, you might be surprised if you received an alert on your phone, but here is quite common to receive alerts, including weather and missing people.
In any case, if you are here, I suggest being careful as more rain is expected and staying away from rivers. If possible, try to do indoor activities these days.
Stay safe!
