Those that had read a bit about South Korea, would know that this country has a huge problem with the fertility rate, being one of the lowest worldwide. Due to this, and since a very long time ago, the Korean government has introduced several programs to increase the fertility rate. One of these initiatives is organising meetings for young boys and girls to try to create couples.

Recently was announced that a couple that met up on one of these programs in Gimhae had married recently. We have to take into consideration that marriage is very important in Korean culture, and it is considered that after marriage, you are a family, and then you can have children. However, nowadays this is changing as more young people start a family without marrying.
Anyway, it seems that this case is a success and it seems that they are considering opening the program to foreign applicants. I hope that this becomes a useful tool to overcome the natality crisis.

Nice project! I hope this works.
But for foreigners, I doubt that. 😅
